Injury bug bites women; men look to extend winning streak
As usual, Southern women’s head coach Sandy Pugh has her squad right in the thick of things as Southwestern Athletic Conference play begins to heat up. Thursday night game, end zone facility and ‘09 schedule among topics
Southern’s athletic program put the finishing touches on one of its better weeks in recent history Wednesday.
For starters, SU football head coach Pete Richardson and athletic director Greg LaFleur took part in the schools ceremony for its A.W. Mumford Stadium north end zone enclosure scheduled to open in August.
NEW ORLEANS—After Southern came out of the tunnel dawning new columbia blue Bayou Classic jerseys and seniors Glenn Bell, Joseph Selders and Vince Lands made their way to midfield for the coin toss, it was apparent there was a sense of urgency.
