An estimated $4.6 million cut puts an even larger dent in the already strained Southern University budget. According to Chancellor Kofi Lomotey, SUBR is in an even worse situation than last year and next year will be even worse. The clouds hanging above the Florida Citrus Bowl seemed fitting as Southern saw themselves on the short end of a 27-16 score late in the third quarter of the SWAC/MEAC Challenge against Delaware State Sunday.
